Landslide at Arroyo Avenue in Oceanside, California. The landslide destroyed six residences and endangered others as well as compromising the street and utility services to the rest of the neighborhood. Temporary stabilization of the adjacent residences and permanent repair of the slope were required. The adjacent residences were temporarily stabilized with drilled piers and tieback anchors, and the slope was permanently repaired by removal of the landslide debris and construction of a buttress fill. Geotechnical services included monitoring of landslide movement, analysis of temporary and permanent repairs, and geotechnical testing and obsevation during the implementation of the repairs. |
